Hero Heal Foundation is committed to transparency, impact, and integrity. Below are answers to the most common questions about how donations are used, what scholarships cover, and who qualifies for support.

Every dollar donated supports our mission of trauma-informed healing. Funds are allocated approximately as follows:

  • Scholarships & Access to Care (60–70%): Covers retreats, transportation, and integration for participants in need.
  • Education & Outreach (15–20%): Supports trainings, awareness campaigns, and community partnerships.
  • Operational Support (10–15%): Ensures nonprofit compliance, communications, and administration.

Scholarships may include full or partial coverage for:

  • Retreat program fees
  • Travel assistance
  • Pre- and post-retreat integration support
  • Meals, lodging, and program materials

They do not cover ongoing private therapy, recreational travel, or luxury accommodations.

Priority is given to individuals with demonstrated need and alignment with our mission, including:

  • Military veterans
  • First responders (police, firefighters, EMTs)
  • Trauma survivors facing financial hardship

Applications are reviewed based on financial need, personal story, and fit. All information is kept confidential.

Scholarships may be full or partial depending on available funding, the cost of the program, and the applicant’s circumstances. We strive to ensure that financial need is never a barrier to healing.

Yes. Donors have the option to sponsor a participant either anonymously or by name. When consent is given, we provide updates on how your gift made a difference.

Yes. Hero Heal Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Our EIN is 33-3525832.
